• Stock Brokers can accept securities as margin from clients only by way of pledge in the depository system w.e.f. September 1, 2020.
• Update your mobile number & email Id with your stock broker/depository participant and receive OTP directly from the depository on your email id and/or mobile number to create a pledge.
• Pay 20% upfront margin of the transaction value to trade in the cash market segment.
• Investors may please refer to the Exchange’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) issued vide circular reference NSE/INSP/45191 dated July 31, 2020 and NSE/INSP/45534 dated August 31, 2020 and other guidelines issued from time to time in this regard.
• Check your Securities /MF/ Bonds in the consolidated account statement issued by NSDL/CDSL every month.
• Investors can also file a complaint on SEBI SCORES: Register on SCORES portal. Mandatory details for filing complaints on SCORES: Name, PAN, Address, Mobile Number, E-mail ID. Benefits: Effective Communication, Speedy redressal of the grievances
• Investors are advised to abstain from dealing in any schemes of unauthorised collective investments/portfolio management, indicative/ guaranteed/fixed returns / payments etc.
• The member has disclosed on their website (if any), the data on complaints received against them or against issues dealt by them and redressal thereof, latest by 7th of succeeding month as per the format prescribed by SEBI vide Circular No. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/DOP/P/CIR/2021/676 dated December 02, 2021
• The member has brought the “Investor Charter for Stock Brokers”, to the notice of their clients (existing as well as new clients) through disclosing the Investor Charter on their respective websites, making them available at prominent places in the office, provide a copy of Investor Charter as a part of account opening kit to the clients, through e-mails/ letters etc
• Investment in the securities market is subject to market risks, read all the related documents carefully before investing.
• 9 out of 10 individual traders in Equity Futures and Options Segment, incurred net losses.
• On an average, loss makers registered net trading loss close to ₹ 50,000.
• Over and above the net trading losses incurred, loss makers expended an additional 28% of net trading losses as transaction costs.
• Those making net trading profits, incurred between 15% to 50% of such profits as transaction cost.
